Social Support

Loneliness and isolation has a real negative effect on mental and physical well-being. Our social support is here to combat isolation whilst enjoying life and improving the general

well-being of those we visit.

Who is Social Support for?

Social Support is for those with mobility problems, illness, or frailty who may be feeling stuck at home, isolated and lonely, or find it really difficult to get out and about. It can also be a start for those who want to dip their toe in and see if home care might be for them. It is also a great option for those who need a friendly shoulder to lean on or a confidence boost in accessing their community.

We offer our social support services to those living at home, residing in a residential home, or in supported living because we know that this service may not be available to all.

What is Social Support?

Social support is a flexible service designed around each individual to bridge the gap between physical care and emotional support.

It can provide a feeling of safety when getting out and about, especially to those who no longer have the confidence to access their community alone. The reassurance that is felt by having someone by their side can get people doing the things they once loved.

A visit at home to combat isolation, a chance to get out of the house safely, or some support attending activities out in the community are all possible.

Befriending & Companionship
A none care based home visit to catch up, play a game or help with a favourite pastime.

Or maybe;
Support with domestic tasks & light gardening
Help with bills & finance

Assistance with keeping in touch with family and/or friends

Community Outreach
A supportive hand to an appointment or the reassurance of someone being there whilst enjoying a trip out.

Or it could be;

Carrying out shopping and errands in town

Visiting friends and family

Attending appointments

Support to attend gatherings or events

Whatever you want to do, remove the barriers by asking us for help.
