WHAT IS SOCIAL SUPPORT?

Social support is a flexible service designed around each individual to bridge the gap between physical care and emotional support.

A visit at home to combat isolation, a chance to get out of the house safely, or some support attending activities out in the community are all possible.

It can provide a feeling of safety when getting out and about, especially to those who no longer have the confidence to access their community alone. The reassurance that is felt by having someone by their side can get people doing the things they once loved.

Let Affexa Care Services support you to appointments. No hassle, door to door.

Want a shoulder to lean on to support whilst doing the things you enjoy. Affexa can help.

Social support by Affexa Care Services is for those with mobility problems, illness, or frailty who may be feeling stuck at home, isolated and lonely, or find it really difficult to get out and about.

It can also be a start for those who want to dip their toe in and see if home care might be for them. It is also a great option for those who need a friendly shoulder to lean on or a confidence boost in accessing their community.

We offer our social support services to those living at home, residing in a residential home, or in supported living because we know that this service may not be available to all.

WHO IS SOCIAL SUPPORT FOR?

Getting a chance to do your favourite hobby with the peace of mind of safety. Whatever tickles your fancy. Let us be there.

A trip to town, the local cafe, or a shopping centre all in the comfort of our care.

WHAT CAN I DO WITH SOCIAL SUPPORT?

Our social support is an area which is totally directed by a persons hobbies and favourite activities.

Affexa team members have been known to do a trip to the seaside, take a walk to the local pub or have a nice chat and catch up over a cuppa.

We can also be there to support with appointments or other outings.
