About the job

We're looking for someone who is dedicated to nurturing and developing individuals to get the best out of people, implementing and delivering training to a high standard and guiding others to best practice.

The post holder will take a lead role in supporting new employees through their induction training and probation ensuring everyone is provided with the skills and knowledge to perform their roles competently, with the right values, addressing training needs when highlighted.

The ideal candidate will support all staff to comply with both national and organisational standards through learning and development as necessary. You will work closely with internal and external parties to ensure training is provided consistently, supporting individuals through nationally recognised qualifications.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL

  1. At least 12 months experience of working in domiciliary care OR 2 years experience in other social care services

  2. Experience of, and passion for, supporting older people to live life to the full.  

  3. Health & Social Care L3 OR Health & Social Care L2 PLUS a certificate in team leading

  4. In depth knowledge of the Care Certificate standards  

  5. Excellent role model and facilitation skills  

  6. Computer literate and proficient written and spoken English

  7. Car owner/driver 

  8. Must be able to work a range of shifts covering service hours, Monday to Sunday, 07:00-22:30, 365 days of the year, as needed 

DESIRABLE

  1. Experience in design and delivery of training within the care sector including inducting new team members

  2. Excellent training and coaching skills  with some experience of mentoring   


The role is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service Check at enhanced level. Cost to be met by the candidate.
