Staff Representative - 1 vacancy

Brief description of job: This role is designed to be a key contact for the staff team to have a supportive ear should they need to vent and offload, either via telephone, email, text.

There are three specific areas of responsibility to:

1. Provide a support network for staff in a pastoral context

2. Report back to the office any feedback that could be used for development purposes

3. Maintain the confidentiality of staff even when providing feedback to ensure when staff are contacting, they can do so in a confidential manner without prejudice or fear of retribution

Remuneration:

For this role, no additional remuneration will be paid, however, bonuses may be paid at company discretion

Reasonable costs reimbursed, subject to agreement

Key Requirements:

  • Be available for other staff team members as and when required, between the hours of 10:00 and 16:00 (Monday to Friday)

Job Description

Key Worker - 3 vacancies

Brief description of job: This role holds key responsibility for the service user’s care and support on an allocated run.

There are four specific areas of responsibility to:

1. Encourage and support service user participation with the service, recommending and offering additional services where appropriate

2. Be an advocate for the assigned service user, supporting them to voice their concerns aiming for resolution where necessary

3. Identify social opportunities for the improvement of an individual’s wellbeing supporting with engagement where necessary

4. Support in the improvement and management of a service user’s ongoing health requirements including maintaining medication stock where applicable, attending health related meetings when appropriate, and recommending suitable equipment to encourage and promote independence

 

Remuneration:

Annual bonuses paid, based on outcomes and service user success, rated across the allocated run.

Payments will be on a tier structure, based on number of runs at time of bonus payments

Usual hourly rate of pay (as per Care Practitioner role)

 

Key Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 months continuous service at Affexa with prospects of completing full probation period

  • Completion of a minimum of 4 full shifts every week

    • (1 x full shift = morning and lunches OR teas and beds)

Job Description

Community Mentor - 3 vacancies

Brief description of job: This role holds responsibility for the training and mentoring of new community team members during the initial training period.

There are four specific areas of responsibility to:

1. Engage, mentor, support and motivate staff in their development and integration into the positive values, culture and standards within Affexa

2. Support with both theoretical and practical training for new staff members

3. Provide opportunities and guidance that enable the transfer of learning into effective practice for new staff

4. Be a point of contact for an allocated mentee during their training period

 

Remuneration:

Payment for the Community Mentor role will be flat rate, paid on completion of mentee’s training:

£85.00 per successful mentee / £65.00 per unsuccessful/incomplete mentee (subject to minimum completion)

Enhanced mileage allowance

 

Key Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6 months continuous service at Affexa (completed probation period)

  • Completion of a minimum of 3 full shifts every week

    • (1 x full shift = morning and lunches OR teas and beds)

  • Completed Care Certificate or NVQ/QCF Level 2 (or equivalent) in Health and Social Care

  • Ability and willingness to work across all service areas (Stafford and Stone)

  • Ability and willingness to work all shifts when necessary

  • Excellent attendance and satisfactory sickness record
